Empowering Youth Through Art: Exhibition and Fundraiser at ART06870 Gallery with over 100 artists helping to make a difference.
We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated 10 squared - Using Art as a Vehicle for Change exhibition and fundraiser, taking place on October 5th at ART06870 Gallery. This event brings together over 100 national, regional, and local artists in a remarkable display of creativity and community engagement. In a unique full-circle event, professional artists give back to the community by enabling workshops that will reach thousands of children in the area.
This event is in collaboration with Greenwich Alliance for Education and proudly supported by The Developing Artist Program, made possible with generous grants from the Greenwich Alliance, Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, the Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) and supplemental support for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)
Each artist has contributed a 12 x 12” panel of original artwork, available for auction at a set price of $300. The proceeds will support art workshops designed to enrich the lives of children. These workshops, conducted at the Boys & Girls Club and at additional locations in local schools, museums, galleries, and studio spaces, will provide creative outlets for thousands of children.
Your collaboration will directly support workshops for students and aspiring young artists. As adults, we can all recall specific moments when people inspired, mentored, or provided opportunities for us. These workshops will do just that—enriching and expanding the lives of so many kids in the area.
